1. Kandia

Situated a little bit outside of Nafplion, on the road to , we find the beach of Candia, with crystal waters and a sandy shore. The trees offer shade to those who want to avoid the hot sun, while in the afternoon the sea fills with young people engaged in wind surfing! Candia beach is organized, with sun beds, beach bars, restaurants, showers and free parking spaces all along its length.

2. Irion Beach

Take your hammock, select the trees where you will suspend it and enjoy the most refreshing and relaxing experience on the beach Irion, located in the homonymous village of Argolida. The pebbles, the sand, the crystal blue water complete the scenery and – don’t be surprised – beckon you to get up and enjoy the sea! Irion beach is appropriate for families with children, since it has all the necessary infrastructure, such as cafes, sunbeds and umbrellas, shower.

3. Kondili

Kondili is widely considered the best beach of Argolida and is located approximately 17 kilometers from Nafplio. Blue sea, sand and reddish pebbles, the picturesque church of Agios Nicholas on one side, make up an idyllic scenery, even more so at sunset! Kondili is ideal for all due to its great length, and has fully organized parts. For those who wish to be more secluded, the beach offers more isolated parts, where some enjoy nudism.

The beach of Nea Kios in Argolida is located on the road to the homonymous village, just four kilometers from the picturesque Nafplio. It is large in size, has sand and shallow waters, with the characteristic reeds covering the area. On Nea Kios beach you will find many surfers, but also people who come here to enjoy the healing properties of the algae on the shore. Do not miss to take a walk in the picturesque port of the village, and enjoy the view of the fishing vessels and fishermen spreading their nets to dry.

5. Archeas Asinis Beach

Right next to the archaeological site of Asini and within walking distance of Tolos, you will find the beach of Archea Asini, pebbled, with a rich underwater flora and many fish, perfect for divers and those who love snorkeling. Archea Asini beach is organized and has a café, sun umbrellas for rent and a shower and is ideal for those who enjoy the relatively deep sea and quiet beaches.

6. Arvanitia Beach

Arvanitia beach is the beach of Nafplio, beneath Palamidi and is at a 10 minute walk from anywhere in the city. Even though it is a small beach, with a length of about 200 meters, it has been awarded the Blue Flag and is sheltered from the winds because of its location. It is organized and offers all the necessary infrastructure, such as umbrellas and sun beds for rent, shower, WC and a canteen.

7. Kastraki

Kastraki (or Paleokastro) is one of the beaches of Argolida beneath the Acropolis of Ancient Assini. It is known as the port of Mycenae, as according to the legend the ships of the Mycenaean sailed from here to Troy. Clear waters, a shore with small pebbles and sand, tranquility and isolation are some of the things the beach is known for. Kastraki has no infrastructure and the visitor must be supplied with water and all the necessities.

8. Karathona

If you are enjoying your holidays in Nafplio, it is very easy to enjoy one of the longest beaches in Argolida, – Karathona, located about 5 km from the capital of the prefecture. Hidden between two bays and behind the rock of Palamidi, Karathona is the favorite beach of the locals. It has small pebbles and offers an almost exotic scenery with groves of palm trees and olive trees along the coast. In order to swim in the clear waters of Karathona you can, instead of driving, walk the so called “tour of Arvanitia”.

9. Milon Beach

Milon Beach is located in the northern part of the Argolida Gulf, about 10 kilometers south of Argos. It is organized and has umbrellas, showers, changing rooms and litter baskets. In the homonymous settlement you will find taverns and cafes.

10. Plakas Drepanou Beach

Plakas Drepanou beach has crystal clear waters and a sandy bottom. It has a total length of 3 km, while there is also an elongated slab of stone in the water that “splits” the beach in two, at about 15 meters from the coast. Next to the sea there are organized hotel complexes, camping sites, apartments, traditional furnished houses for rent, guest houses and rooms for families. Free parking is available along the shore.
